CCM Talk on Potential Research on Non-Profit Organizations

Mr Mohamed Sufyan Mohd Mokhtar, an Officer from the Legal and Supervision Department, Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM)and his team came to give talk to ARI and faculty members on possible research topics that could be explored on Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs).
CCM hopes to establish a Code of Best Practice which ultimately will become standards that NPOs need to comply with. The talk is part of CCM's initiative of working together with academics and researchers in this country.
At the end of the half day seminar, ARI members identified several research topics which include among others:
1. Case study on NPO Best Practices
2. Developing NPO Financial Reporting Standard
3. NPO Governance, Accountability and Transparency Framework
4. NPO Commission
5. Governance of Non-Registered NPOs
6. Charity Organizations
