Themed "ENERGISING INNOVATION IN ISLAMIC FINANCIAL SERVICES", IF InnoFest 2016 seeks to create a platform that brings together industry, regulatory bodies & universities to develop and implement breakthrough ideas and innovative solutions in Islamic Finance (IF). The four main objectives of this event are (1) To provide a platform to trigger and initiate innovative ideas for Islamic Finance; (2) To transform research into implementable outcomes; (3) To forge continuous university-industry synergy, and (4) To enhance university-university collaboration in Islamic Finance. UiTM team has been asked to participate in the poster presentation and pitching on 24th November 2016. The event is jointly organised by INCEIF, Association of Islamic Banking Institutions Malaysia (AIBIM) and Takaful Malaysia Association. IF- INNOFEST 2016 is supported by Bank Negara Malaysia. ARI Won Two Golds at ITEX 2015
The Accounting Research Institute (ARI) congratulates our researchers who won gold medal awards from the prestigious ITEX 2015 Exposition which was held recently at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The 3-day event was held on 21 - 23 May 2015 (Thursday to Saturday).
Beside product exhibition, ITEX 2015 organised competitions to identify Malaysia and Asia Young Inventors (in fact there were dedicated award for this category); R&D Conference; Venture Capitalist Forum and Intellectual Capital registration campaign. This year, ARI has sent two products which have been developed collaboratively with our industry partners and both products have won the Gold Medal. The two products are namely (1) Computation of Individual Tax Assessment (CInTA) and Fraud Investigation and Detection System (FINDS). CInTA has been developed by 5 ARI reasearchers - Dr Nor Balkish Zakaria (Head), Dr Norazida Mohamed, Ms Ida Suriya Ismail, Ms Norhidayah Abdullah and Ms Noor Hidayah Ab Aziz. Meanwhile, FINDS was developed by Professor Dr Rohana Othman (Head), Mohammad Affendi Abdul Malek, Ms Nooraslinda Abdul Aris, Ms Siti Maznah Mohd Arif and Dr Intan Salwani Mohamed.

IIDEX 2013

Researchers from the Accounting Research Institute (ARI) participated in the 3-day Invention, Innovation & Design Expo (IIDEX 2013) which has been recently held at the DATC Convention Centre at Universiti Teknologi MARA Shah Alam. The annual event normally attracts between 200-300 participation from among staff and students of the university. ARI sent sixteen participation mainly in the category of innovation. Congratulations to Associate Professor Dr Zuraidah Mohd Sanusi and her team as well as Dr Suhana & her team for winning the gold awards during the competition. Other participants also managed to obtain silver and bronze medals. Those who win gold medals will be sent for national-level competition either at ITEX, MTE or PECIPTA. Thank you all and congratulations.
