MAB chose the theme "MAB Transformation Agenda" for its presentation to NAfMA assessors. Basically the visit was to confirm management accounting practices that have been effectively utilised for the transformation agenda. The presentation was headed by Encik Faisal, the company's Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Practices include effective use of the Value Management Team (VMT). One of the main tasks of the team is to evaluate core practices of the company and isolates "value added" versus "non-value added" activities.
By getting rid of non value added activities, the company was able to improve efficiency of its practices, increase saving and profits as well as minimize waste. The four NAfMA assessors assigned to evaluate MAB were Prof Normah, Mr Abd Hamid Ghows, Mr Lim Kian Hui and Mr Robert Lam.
