Highlighting Islamic Financial Criminology as a Developing Research Area

The Accounting Research Institute (ARI) congratulates the Asia Pacific Conference on Business and Social Sciences 2015 for organising a successful conference recently.  The main objective of Asia Pacific Conference on Business and Social Sciences (APCBSS) 2015 which was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia was to promote and publish relevant and current ideas that are important for global academics in particular and the businesses, societies and economies at large. Its objective also includes the dissemination of knowledge and networking with relevant stakeholders in order to inform and motivate them for strategic thinking and actions. While APCBSS 2015 aims to serve as a platform for the researchers, educators and learners of undergraduate and graduate business and social sciences from all over the world the participants from Australia, New Zealand and greater Asia are expected to bolster the conference audience.  Themed "Towards Research Excellence in Business and Social Sciences" the conference was organised in Partnership with The Journal of Developing Areas (The JDA, USA) with the aim of uncovering new areas of research and publications.  Professor Dr Normah Omar, who is the Director of Accounting Research Institute was invited by the conference to deliver a keynote address on "Islamic Financial Criminology" .
